T-SHIRTS EXCLUSIVELY MADE IN FRANCE
When we created Bluebretzel, we wanted to manufacture T-shirts of a much higher quality than those of most of our competitors, T-shirts that would hold in the wash and that you could keep for years.

To take up this challenge, we had to be rigorous and uncompromising at each stage of production. We thus set up our own circuit from A to Z selecting the best products, even if they are often more expensive, and the best suppliers. To guarantee you a top-of-the-range T-shirt, all the stages, including the knit, dye, make, embroidery, silk-screen and controls, are exclusively “made in France”. And, we entrusted the cut of all Bluebretzel’s to Thierry Bécet, designer for the greatest Parisian fashion houses.

THE BEST COTTONS AND THE SOFTEST CASHMERES

The circuit naturally starts with the raw material: cotton. For ethical reasons as well as for its renowned quality throughout the world, we chose cotton labeled Max Havelaar from the Kita plains in Mali. Its fiber is long, soft and ultra-resistant.

Resistance is one thing, softness is another: we spun this cotton using cashmere from the Orgos deserts’ goats in Central Mongolia. This cashmere is particularly appreciated for its regularity and the softness of its fiber. We limited the use of cashmere to 5 % as it is enough to give the fabric a very soft touch without affecting its resistance, especially in the dryer.

We also developed a cotton&bamboo mix which also ensures softness while enhancing the depth of color.

A TWO-PLY FABRIC

This raw material of choice is made using a two-ply spun yarn (two independent plies twisted together to produce one single thicker ply). This process ensures a perfect hold to the fabric that will not thus lose its shape. This process is commonly used by the most renowned brands for shirts but is hardly ever used for T-shirts.
We might be the only ones in the world today to offer you two-ply T-shirts.
